- Assignment Description
- We are currently looking for an experienced Cost Engineer
- What You Will Work On
- Lead Cost and Value Engineering initiatives to improve competitiveness and profitability
- Build cost and value transparency across products, solutions, and third-party scopes
- Perform should-cost analyses and evaluate supplier quotations
- Support target setting and Design-to-Cost activities
- Drive cost optimization and cost-out initiatives across the portfolio
- Coordinate cross-functional workshops and efficiency improvement activities
- Track CVE measures in cost management tools and support proposal teams
- Communicate cost-saving recommendations and insights to stakeholders and leadership
- Collaborate with suppliers, sourcing teams, and engineering functions
- Support procurement and operational excellence initiatives
- What You Bring
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Master’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience within Cost Engineering or related areas
- Strong expertise in should-costing methodologies and cost optimization activities
- Experience with tools such as TcPCM, aPriori, MLPP, CBD, and preferably NX
- Strong analytical capability and understanding of cost drivers
- Experience working with suppliers, sourcing processes, and negotiation activities
Knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing including machining, forging, casting, fabrication, and electronics is an advantage
- Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills in international environments
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Fluent communication skills in both Swedish and English
